Many organisations and people who not only live in Africa but others who see what is happening are contributing to solve this issue. There has been protesters and huge crowds that have tryed to stand up for what is clearly right and what is happening. There is also different organisations that are travelling around the world such as The Rainbo Organisation which helps bring awareness to all global citizens. I think that as the years go on and our ways of treating different cultures and genders are starting to change. We are starting to realize that everyone should be treated the same and that both men and women are capable of doing anything they set their minds to. What I have noticed throughout the years is on the news there has been more attention on how women are treated so poorly. Hopefully from all the media attention and groups that are bringing caution to this issue will stop violating women's rights and start being equal.
This is a group of grandmothers who are protesting and trying to raise awareness for women's rights. They have been around for a long time and are trying to tell others that this isn't right and that we need a change once and for all!We unfortunately have others who are not willing to make this issue come to an end and to make them right. African government are a huge part of the why this is an issue because they feel that women should be held back from opportunities and should be the housekeepers and look after their families. They feel that if women are given the power like men then the way they run their country will be changed and that is not the way they feel things should be run. It is very disappointing to see this happening and we start to wonder why and how they have so much power over these women. Hopefully we get those answers soon and we figure out a way to make things right.
Wow awesome job! As soon as I read the first sentences, I was relieved to hear that there are people out there who are trying to get women to be treated equal to men! Just because they're female shouldn't affect how they are treated, but unfortunately it does! I loved how you added the picture of the grandmothers raising awareness for women's rights. Hopefully, others will see the grandmothers raising awareness,and will join them because the more people who agree that women right's are being violated the better chance for change... right? Hopefully, someday women will be equal to men. Can't wait to read more. Keep the post coming!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree that they way females are treated shouldn't be different from men. We shouldn't be giving people different privileges because of their sex. It is really sad to hear that the African government agrees that women shouldn't be treated equal. It is even saddening to hear that they don't want to let them be equal because they are afraid that females might change they way the countries are run. Sometimes change is good, I think. Hopefully in the future, the African government will change their mind!
